Since the SMART RC-M4SP's USB 3.0 (transfer rate up to 10 times USB 2.0) port is interchangeable between both the new USB 3.0 and the traditional USB 2.0, it is the perfect solution for anyone! Regardless which condition the user is in at this moment, either would like to upgrade but hasn't had the opportunity to do so yet or has already improved the host computer to USB 3.0, the SMART RC-M4SP is suitable for everyone!

By being a cost-effective choice, the SMART RC-M4SP is created to provide simplicity for any user who prefers not having to deal with the chance of confusion from multi-interface capability. Furthermore, the SMART RC-M4SP is designed with top-of-the-line mechanical components for effective heat-dissipation, vibrant LED indicators and miniature LCM for immediate status updates, plus an exclusive trayless SmartGuider* for immediate hard drive installation or hot-swap! The SMART RC-M4SP supports instant RAID configurations via LCM/front panel buttons or complex RAID configurations via RAID MASTER, and powerful storage management under: JBOD (None RAID), RAID 0 (Striping), RAID 1 (Mirroring), Span, Clone, RAID 5, and RAID 1+0; plus optional Rebuild setup under RAID 1+HotSpare, Clone+HotSpare, and RAID 5+HotSpare!

In addition to the SMART RC-M4SP, the SMART 4-Bay RAID Series also include the RC-M4DJ (which offers dual USB 2.0 and eSATA interfaces) and the RC-M4QJ (which provides quad USB 2.0/eSATA/1394a/1394b interfaces).
