After I replaced the hard drive with a new one to setup auto rebuild under Mirror mode, the Unit just re-formatted the hard drives and all my data is gone. What happened?

If the old hard drive is Hitachi brand with a bad sector, it may cause this issue when you replace it with a new one. Please update the Unit with our latest FIRMWARE as soon as possible. Below are instructions on how to update the Unit. This firmware update needs to be completed using a Windows 32-bit OS.



1) Install JAVA first (if your computer doesn't).

2) Install the Uploader_3_03_0000_0004.exe on to the PC.

3) Power on the Unit without any disk installed and connect the Unit to the PC via USB port.

4) Double click on "Oxsemi Uploader".

5) Select "Uploader/Upgrade Firmware".

6) Choose "UFS936DS_JBOD_002_D080224.bin" to continue.

7) Once completed, power off and restart the Unit.

8) Please go back to Uploader and reconfirm the firmware version "Feb 24 2009 (v2.10.0001.0002)" to make sure it is updated.
