I have a RS-M2TS (USB/eSATA) DataWhale 2-bay RAID. I use one disk under JBOD mode via USB in Mac OS 10.5. However, I cannot initialize the disk under this condition, but previously I was able to do so in Mac OS 10.4. How can I solve this problem?
The chip provider has released a new firmware to cope with this issue. You can download the latest firmware at HERE and update the firmware according to the instruction. You will be able to initialize the disk under the same condition after the firmware is updated.
