The hard drives in the RAID System will automatically spin down when the host computer goes into Sleep Mode. Because the RAID System has a power switch on the device itself, it needs to be turned on via power switch in order to properly go back to Operation Mode. If prefer to keep the RAID System in Operation Mode at all times, please use the external power supply (included in the package) instead.
